SMS & Text Message Policy

This SMS & Text Message Policy describes how Suga-et-Luna LLC, doing business as The Cashmere Route ("we," "us," or "our"), collects consent for, sends, and manages text message (SMS) communications with our clients and prospective clients. This policy is provided in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, and applicable state laws.
1. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Cashmere Route may send text messages to individuals who have expressly consented to receive them. Our SMS communications may include:
- Responses to your inquiry or consultation request
- Travel booking confirmations, reminders, and updates
- Time-sensitive travel alerts or itinerary changes
- Appointment reminders for travel planning consultations
- Follow-up communications after your trip
- Promotional messages about travel opportunities, if you have opted in to marketing communications
2. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT
We will only send you text messages if you have given us your express written consent. Consent may be provided in one of the following ways:
- By completing our travel inquiry form and checking the SMS opt-in checkbox
- By verbally agreeing to receive text messages during a consultation call, confirmed in writing
- By texting us first to initiate a conversation
- By signing our Service Fee Agreement, which includes an SMS consent provision
Important: By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive recurring SMS messages from The Cashmere Route at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply.
3. HOW TO OPT OUT
You may opt out of receiving text messages from us at any time by any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP — Text the word STOP to any message we send you. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
- Reply UNSUBSCRIBE — Text the word UNSUBSCRIBE to any message we send you.
- Email us — Send an email to hello@cashmereroute.com requesting removal from our text messaging list.
- Call us — Contact us at (985) 852-1399 and request removal.
After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation text and will not receive further SMS messages from us, except as required to complete an active booking or comply with a legal obligation. If you opt out and later wish to re-enroll, you may do so by texting START to our number or by contacting us directly.

5. MESSAGE FREQUENCY
Message frequency varies based on your travel planning activity and the stage of your booking. During active trip planning or travel, you may receive more frequent communications. Once your travel is complete and no active bookings exist, you will receive messages only if you have opted in to our marketing communications.
6. MESSAGE AND DATA RATES
Standard message and data rates may apply to all SMS messages sent to and from us, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We are not responsible for any charges imposed by your carrier. Contact your wireless provider for information about your messaging plan.
7. SUPPORTED CARRIERS
Our SMS program is available on all major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, and others. Carrier support may vary. We are not liable if your carrier does not support SMS or if messages are not delivered due to carrier limitations.
8. PRIVACY OF YOUR INFORMATION
Your mobile phone number and SMS consent information are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share, sell, or rent your mobile phone number or text message consent information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support of our services (such as booking platforms and travel suppliers) is permitted to the extent necessary to fulfill your travel arrangements.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
9. CHILDREN
Our SMS program is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly send text messages to minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with a mobile phone number, please contact us at hello@cashmereroute.com.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this SMS & Text Message Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending you a notice via text or email. Your continued participation in our SMS program after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
